If you are not having a ribbon or metallic trim you will be supplied with a glue gun to hold the insert sheet in place.
There is no minimum order quantity and all DIY Wedding Stationery orders will be delivered within 10 working days.
Metallic trims in silver or gold are available.
Please download the templates below to help. These templates are 'Word' documents which have been set to the correct paper size and with the text positioned to print in the appropriate position. Slide the feeder tray guides on your printer to the narrower size (126mm) and the paper will then feed through an A4 printer. You will need to print and check the position of each page very carefully to ensure that your text is accurately centred, as the settings/margins that your printer is set to may vary.
Note on templates:
Menus: Please use the 14x14cm for Viola and Promise designs & the 15x15cm for all other designs.
Save the Dates: Please use the Save the Date Eden for the Eden design and Save the Date B for all other designs.
Once printed, you simply fold the paper in half and attach the insert page into the outer card with a ribbon, metallic trim. Adhesive is included with your order if you specify you are having your stationery plain. We always include 5 spare sheets of paper with every order for you to use as tests to practice on.
You may buy additional matching blank paper on which to print your gift list, directions and accommodation details etc.
If you need some ideas for your insert wording, have a look at our personalised service pages where you will find wording examples, suggestions for your guest names, layouts etc. – all designed to make the DIY stationery process simple and stress free. Click here
Matching envelopes are included within the price of the save the date cards, wedding and evening invitations, thank you cards and RSVPs. They are available in textured cream, textured white, mottled ivory, gold, silver, ivory pearlised and white pearlised. You would then need to write the names and address of your guests on to the envelope. For a truly professional finish, we would strongly recommend using transparent address labels rather than standard white labels if you are planning on ordering one of the different coloured envelopes that we are able to supply to match your stationery i.e. cream, silver, gold etc.
We are able to supply transparent labels (21 labels per sheet) for both inkjet and laser printers. Again, please confirm on your order form whether you have a laser or inkjet printer.
As an alternative, if you do not wish to buy clear labels, we are also able to supply smooth white RSVP envelopes which we would recommend if you are planning on using white address labels.
Please therefore confirm on your order form whether you would prefer to have matching envelopes or our standard smooth white envelopes.
The ribbon is supplied on a roll in the colour or your choice. For organza bows, we recommend cutting the ribbon to a length of approximately 54cm when assembling your wedding invitations or 61cm when assembling your menus or order of service. For satin contemporary knots, we recommend cutting the ribbon to a length of approximately 45cm for your wedding invitations or 50cm for your menus or order of service. Next, if using organza ribbon tie the bow directly around the outer card, just as you would a shoe lace. For satin ribbon tie a double knot around the card.
We are able to supply the ribbons pre-tied into bows.
As an alternative to a ribbon, we are able to supply either gold or silver metallic trims with a small ball on the loop. This item is particularly useful when assembling you order of service, which will need to be stapled if you are having the wedding stationery plain or with a ribbon as it has text on both sides of the insert pages. Metallic trims fit onto all the folded cards in our ranges.
Sweetheart, Titania, Pandora, Vienna & Promise designs are printed on pearl paper. If you are printing from an ink jet printer on to our pearl paper, the ink will not dry so we include an ivory textured insert sheet instead of the pearl. It is a matching colour to the pearl card and will still look attractive as your insert sheet. If you are printing with a laser printer let us know and we will include the matching pearl insert sheets for you.
If you would like to buy a font there are many font sites where you can download a huge selection of fonts for around £15. Type 'fonts' into your search engine.
We include two sheets of insert paper for each Order of Service booklet. This will allow you to print the equivalent of approx. four sides of A4 typed sheets (depending on your font size). Our template will help you set up your text, but you will need to consider the position of each page within your document, so that once printed and made into a booklet, your order of service will run in the correct order. Please see the relevant PDF for guidance notes.

Using your word template to set the text in the correct position: (Using 1 sheet of insert paper)
If you are having trims, the trim will hold the pages without any need for staples.

Using your word template to set the text in the correct position: (Using 2 sheets of insert paper)
1/ Print page one onto your first sheet of insert paper then turn this over and print page two onto the back of page one.
If you have page seven, print this onto the same side as page two.
If you have page eight, print this onto the same side as page one.
2/ Print pages six and three onto the second sheet of insert paper, turn this sheet over and print pages four and five onto the back of pages six and three.
Insert 1 - Page 1 and 8 on one side, Page 2 and 7 on the reverse
Insert 2 - Page 3 and 6 on one side, Page 4 and 5 on the reverse
When you think you have all your text in the correct order, please print a test sample, fold it into a booklet, staple it and dress it (i.e. add a ribbon or trim) to make sure that the order of the pages is correct and you are able to read all the pages of text.
3/ Fold the insert sheet into the outer card. Lastly, using a saddle stapler you will have to staple the insert pages into the outer card and then dress with your ribbon. The ribbon needs to be placed around the outer card only, so that the text on pages three and four can still be easily read.
For the eight page order of service, we would strongly recommend using our metallic trims, as the trim holds the pages together without any need for stapling. Metallic trims in silver or gold are available at 20p extra each.
To personalise your insert further, create your names, wedding date and venue in your theme colours as a title page.
Please ensure you print some test sheets and check the position of the text on each page very carefully, as we are not able to guarantee the accuracy of the centring, as we cannot determine the settings/margins that your printer is set to.
